At St. Andrew's we have a wealth of materials for supporting the whole spectrum of the church family. Growth Groups, Growth group leaders, Campaigner materials and all the church family can be catered for in some way from our resources.
1. Firstly we run a Resource Centre. This is open when the parish office is open and accessible in the same suite of offices. It houses a large collection of books which have been donated or sometimes given, for the use of the whole parish. There is also a section of audio tapes from past events such as previous Leyland Bible Weeks.
2. Every Sunday the sermons are now recorded onto cassette and can be bought for a small fee. Typically the talk might last anywhere from 15 minutes up to over 35 minutes. Often these are given by David Gibb the vicar, but there are other tapes now in the library which can be obtained via the parish office.
3. In order to lay out the subjects for the next quarter, David now
issues a leaflet detailing all the subjects coming up over the next three
months. This leaflet is now available ONLINE! Simply click below
for the April - June copy. It is two pages intended to be printed double sided
and folded in three. you will need the Acrobat Reader software (free download)
from Adobe to view it if you do not already have it.

4. For those who want to try out one of David's sermons I am trialling a
RealAudio stream of the sermon where the 2003 Motto text is explained. This
audio stream is a recording taken from the cassette tape made of the sermon on
5th Jan 2003. The tape is from the library mentioned above.
This web
site can provide up to two simultaneous listeners at a time, with a connection
speed of 28k - 56k. I have used a free tool to convert this which means it is
very basic! Currently with this method being very new there are no guarantees
that this will work for you. Another restriction is that I can only hold one
sermon of about 1/2 hour at any one time due to the disk space limitations and
the encoding method.
The content of the sermon is titled Delivered to
Love taken from Psalm 116, V8-9.
You will need to have a version
of RealPlayer on your computer - the latest free player is called RealONE
and is available from RealNetworks.com.
